Renegade Craft San Francisco

If you are in San Francisco today, you should definitely come down to Renegade Craft Fair (we’re here until 6). There are a ton of awesome vendors, including many etsy sellers we’ve posted about in the past. Owen and I are here with some new items that aren’t yet in our shop!

Park and Pond

For the past few months, Owen and I have been working on the identity of a fabulous new shop in San Francisco, Park and Pond. Park and Pond, which opened last month in North Beach, was founded by sisters Jessica and Abbey Herman and features products that are designed and produced within 100 miles of San Francisco. They’ve curated an impressive selection of merchandise from a ton of Bay Area designers, including Pie Bird Press, Lisa Swerling, Whitney Smith Pottery, Yellow Owl Workshop, and of course, us.

We’re thrilled with what a great job Jessica and Abbey have done carrying the colors and identity through the shop and we’re so happy we were a part of helping this great store come to life.

Happy Monday! Thought I’d give you all a sneak peak into my newest project–I’m mentoring a coworkers daughter with her senior project–a magazine focusing on real people–her friends. Shop Handmade & Local for the Holidays!

Owen and I will be selling at two craft sales at Fort Mason this season. The first, the RISD Alumni Holiday Art Sale is this Sunday, December 5th. We have done this sale for a few years and it is a pretty great time seeing the variety of work our fellow alumni have been up to. Here’s Owen’s writeup of last year’s show.

RISD Alumni Holiday Art Sale — San Francisco

Fort Mason Center, Building A
9:30 am to 5 pm

Next weekend, December 11-12, we will be selling at Bazaar Bizarre along with Experts Agree coeditor Jessica (tiniestj). It looks to be the best one yet: the vendor lineup is well-curated and there’s even food trucks and cocktails involved.

Saturday and Sunday, December 11-12
Fort Mason Center (Herbst Pavilion)
Saturday: 12 to 5 pm; plus the new Cocktails & Crafts Party 7 to 10 pm
Sunday: 12 to 6 pm

We’ll be selling our new teeny-tiny calendars, a new gocco print, notebooks, gift tags, and of course our holiday (and other-occasional) greeting cards. And if you missed out on Jessica’s fantastic handstamped Max Fischer extracurricular activities pencil set when she sold out of them in a few hours last time, Bazaar Bizarre is the time to resolve that problem.

We are in full-blown holiday planning mode, printing like crazy and getting ready for this year’s holiday craft sales. And although I am knee-deep in Christmas, it feels a bit early for a Christmas Schmetsy. Thankfully, Hanukkah starts very early this year, December 1, so today’s Schmetsy is totally timely and appropriate; I hope you enjoy it.
