Typically I try to avoid things that use the word “smooching,” but I had to make an exception for these magnets from Button Empire. I felt like they were made just for Owen and me—or maybe we’re not as unique as we’d like to think we are. Either way, I think they are fantastic. For those of you who aren’t married, they are available for boyfriends/girlfriends as well.
Without a doubt one of my all-time favorite etsy shops is Lab Partners. Owen and I already have a bunch of their prints, but I am really excited about the one I purchased last night. It is an artist proof of one of the prints from their Hunt & Gather show. I think they do really great work and love the ways that they use gocco. Plus, Owen and I are both total suckers for a visible halftone.
I know it’s not totally relevant, but I am in LOVE with the new red hoodie and skinny jeans that I just got from blythestation. There’s something so hysterical about seeing the hoodie when it’s not being worn: the size of the hood relative to the torso just kills me. Thanks, Kiki!

Last night we went to the SF Film Society’s screening of Handmade Nation by Faythe Levine — a documentary about the rise of the DIY/craft movement. I definitely recommend checking it out if it screens near you.
Another way to pass the time while keeping yourself sharp. We have been OBSESSED with this game. Seriously. Dangerously so, in fact. I have to remind myself to take a breath when I get too into it. |
