We don’t generally post things like this, but I just came across this amazing blog. Jessica and I could hardly breathe we were laughing so hard at some of these. At one point I literally almost fell out of my chair and was covered in mascara from crying. Check it out if you need a laugh.
Thought I’d share with you all my new chair. Funny how a new piece of furniture can bring me so much joy. If you like vintage furniture as much as I do, definitely check out Amandromeda online!
Thought I’d do a little post with some old photos I’d taken while out and about in San Francisco. Funny how these photos were all taken at completely different places/times, but they somehow all go together. Happy Monday!
It’s really gloomy out today and I was up early with a bunch of nervous energy for some reason. Oddly (or miraculously, rather), the only thing that helped me calm down was seeing this silly little thing that I made one restless night. It’s small and simple, but it made me happy, so I thought I would share.
Since I was feeling a little blue about coming into work on a Sunday, Paul cheered me up by taking me for a walk on San Francisco’s Coast Trail that runs along the Presidio to the Cliff House. These little snapshots are nothing exciting, but the walk reminded me to not take for granted the interesting and beautiful things that are all around us.
On the opposite side of the coin from a video made using photos is a video that appears to be still as a photograph. This sort of “bullet time” effect first popularized in The Matrix, is made breathtaking use of here, even telling a [admittedly, action packed] narrative as it pans around its scene. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I am so excited about this. It’s not even that I am a huge fan of the book actually; it’s the Jonze/Eggers/Arcade Fire/natural lighting/handwriting-even-on-the-production-company-logos part that’s an arrow to my heart.
Aaaaand on the opposite side of that, possibly the worst trailer ever. Which is endlessly fascinating and rewatchable. Does it know that it’s bad (e.g. parody or art)? How can it not?
