Tattly on Fab

We posted recently about the launch of swiss-miss‘s fabulous new temporary tattoos Tattly. Well, they are on sale on Fab for the next 3 days. I am a little reluctant to tell more people about Fab, but it is a really great site. It is an invitation only sale site for design-y things and design inspiration. Need an invite to Fab? Well, here you go.

Tattly

Oddly, the Experts are a surprisingly tattoo-free group. Thankfully, Tina Roth Eisenberg (AKA swissmiss) has come to the rescue for those times when you just want a little design-y body art. Inspired by the lack of cool temporary tattoos for her daughter, swissmiss contacted a number of designers to see if they liked her idea for Tattly and to see if they would be interested in submitting designs. Some pretty awesome designers have contributed so far, though unsurprisingly, my two favorites are Frank Chimero’s Knucks and Jessica Hische’s Type Nerd (though I kind of love them all). For the first 2 weeks, you can get the whole set for $35.

Etsy Schmetsy-ish: Sapling Press and Dear Blank Please Blank

We at the Experts have been a bit busy of late, and sadly had little time to prepare a full Etsy Schmetsy today. I did however come across this awesome project and though that in lieu of a Schemtsy, we’d feature an etsy seller. These hysterical prints are a collaboration between Sapling Press and Dear Blank Please Blank. Go check out the rest of the prints here.

Movies R Fun

What can I say about Josh Cooley‘s take on Little Golden Books Movies R Fun that they don’t already say for themselves? Not much, but, I think they are great. Luckily, he has compiled the illustrations into a book and is making “High quality, ‘classy’ prints” that will be available at Comic-Con this year.

So Awkward

We don’t generally post things like this, but I just came across this amazing blog. Jessica and I could hardly breathe we were laughing so hard at some of these. At one point I literally almost fell out of my chair and was covered in mascara from crying. Check it out if you need a laugh.

Here are two of our many favorites.

someecards

I believe it was Jessica Troy who first brought the greatness of someecards to our attention. In a sea of painfully unfunny, unclever e-greeting sites that offer cards you’d be embarrassed to send, they stand out as the kind of place that actually makes you want to search for a reason (any reason) to send an e-card.

For all of you prudes out there, be forewarned that some of the cards on the site are a little graphic, but that makes their often ironic imagery that much more amusing.
